The breakfast food is wonderful if you love fried potatoes that are cooked from ones left over from the night before, which I do & know how to build your bkfast from there!! I was so happy. Eggs, fried taters, good bacon, & grits & you bet I was happy. They finally got it all hot enough for me w no wait & after eating I went home & had a happy warm nap, then gardened all afternoon. God that was good
The employees working in the restaurant are enough to make anyone walk in, and walk back out. All the women are rude, hateful and have zero customer service skills. They all should be replaced with happy, non-bitchy people that actually make you feel invited to be there. The staff and owners that run the gas station are good pleasant people, except for that grumpy old lady in the evenings. She hates everyone.
Food this time around was not good. I ordered the cod dinner which cost $10.99. It was frozen fish filets made from minced fish. Way over priced! Waitress did not even come around to see how we liked our food and didn't offer refills on my coffee. Decided to get a coffee to go and was charged for it....so much for free refills! My husband got a side of pinto beans which tasted spoiled. Not sure if we will return.
Time moves slower in the Exit 62 Restraunt. The staff reminds you of how things used to be, sending you back in time. The nostalgic atmosphere combined with the friendly staff creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy their delicious homemade food. This restraunt serves as a little slice of life on the highway.
This review is on the attached diner. Everything they make there seems like it's home made. I can't say that for a fact but I'm pretty positive it is. The staff is awesome the prices are reasonable and the food is great. If you stop by try the biscuits and gravy and ask for Kelly, she's the best.
